This component asks whether indexability, discoverability and extractability supports an accurate, useful account of the business. Complete it for the offerings, locations and customer situations in your assessment scope.
What to gather
Give your provider a list of important public pages and page types, together with the customer facts each must expose.
Carry out the review
Ask for a report covering successful responses, indexing instructions, canonical pages, internal links and readable content. Include JavaScript-dependent pages and embedded booking information. Request URLs, results and outstanding actions.

- ID1 — Do important public pages return successful responses reliably?
- ID2 — Do page-level indexing instructions permit the intended pages to be included?
- ID3 — Do canonical instructions identify the correct version of each important page?
- ID4 — Do internal links make important pages discoverable?
- ID5 — Are sitemaps and other discovery mechanisms accurate where they are used?
- ID6 — Are duplicate, conflicting and obsolete pages controlled?
- ID7 — Can the main page content be extracted as meaningful text?
- ID8 — Does JavaScript rendering preserve access to essential information?
- ID9 — Can important information be reached without authentication or a private session?
- ID10 — Do embedded booking or commerce systems expose enough public information to support discovery and understanding?
Choose your scores
Use a whole-number score for each question and record supporting evidence. The examples below show how the levels apply to this component.

| 2 | The homepage works, but some important pages have incorrect instructions, weak links or missing readable content. |
| 3 | Important page types have working responses, suitable indexing instructions, useful links and readable content. Publishing includes repeatable checks. |
| 4 | An owner reviews new pages and site changes, investigates failures and records their resolution. |
| 5 | Recurring findings are used to improve templates, navigation or rendering, with follow-up checks showing the improvements work. |
Start at 3 and check whether the important requirement is implemented and repeatable. Use the lower score if a material part of the higher level is missing. Use U for checks still outstanding and N/A only where the requirement does not apply.
Record your result
In the assessment workbook, open Readiness → Indexability, discoverability and extractability. For each question, retain the page or report, date checked, finding and next improvement. The workbook calculates the component average and shows evidence coverage.
Highlight questions scored 1 or 2 even when the average is higher. Give outstanding checks an owner. Return to the information foundations overview to continue the other components.
