You have run an exercise and found something to improve. The next step depends on the platform behind your website.
Choose the relevant guide below. You do not need to learn every platform or make every change yourself.
| Your website | Start here |
|---|---|
| Wix | Wix crawler-access guide |
| Squarespace | Squarespace crawler-access guide |
| WordPress.com | WordPress.com crawler-access guide |
| WordPress hosted by your agency or hosting company | Self-hosted WordPress guide |
| A custom-built website | Custom-site guide |
Bring a specific finding
Send your provider the website address, the affected page and the exact result from the assessment. If a crawler is blocked, include its name and the robots.txt rule. If the business description is unclear, show the wording that caused confusion and the facts that should be communicated.
We want customers and AI discovery services to understand our public offering. The assessment found [issue] on [page]. Please review [rule, setting or wording], explain the intended behaviour, and confirm the result on the published website.
Keep booking information easy to find
A booking widget is useful for dates and transactions. Put the essential description, location, duration, suitability and price guidance on the public experience page too. A customer or assistant should be able to understand the offer before beginning a booking.
Retest after publishing
Run the same exercise again and compare the result. For a robots.txt change, copy the new live file. For a clarity change, ask the AI to review the updated pages in a new conversation.
Keep the two exercises handy: brand clarity and crawler permissions.
