What you can check yourself
- In the Wix dashboard, go to SEO & GEO → Tools and settings → SEO Settings.
- Confirm Let search engines index your site is enabled for the public production site.
- For every important page, open Pages & Menu → More Actions → SEO basics and confirm Let search engines index this page is enabled.
- Open
https://yourdomain.example/robots.txt. If custom rules exist, confirm they do not block the search or retrieval crawlers the business wants to support. - Open
https://yourdomain.example/sitemap.xmland confirm the important experience, service, room, event and location pages appear. - Check that the essential offer, audience, location, price, duration and restrictions appear on a normal public page—not only inside Wix Bookings or another iframe.
- Publish changes and rerun the assessment against the live domain.
What healthy looks like
- The site-wide and important-page indexing toggles are on.
- The live
robots.txtcontains no unexplained block affecting desired crawlers. - The sitemap loads and contains the pages customers need.
- Essential tourism information is readable on the public page before the booking interaction begins.
Making a change
Ask your provider to adjust the specific blocking rule and keep the rest of Wix's defaults in place. Put information you want discovered on public pages, outside password-protected or members-only areas.
