This component asks whether freshness and consistency supports an accurate, useful account of the business. Complete it for the offerings, locations and customer situations in your assessment scope.
What to gather
List important facts that change: price, hours, season, location, availability and current offerings. Identify the pages and platforms where those facts appear.
Carry out the review
Compare each fact with its current source. Record conflicts, expired offerings and missing updates. Find out who owns each source and what triggers a review.

- FC4 — Do important facts agree across related website pages?

Choose your scores
Use a whole-number score for each question and record supporting evidence. The examples below show how the levels apply to this component.
| Score | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| 1 | Important published facts are outdated or contradictory and updates are unmanaged. |
| 2 | Corrections occur when someone spots a problem, leaving gaps between pages or platforms. |
| 3 | Important facts are current and consistent, supported by a repeatable update routine. |
| 4 | Each important source has an owner; expiry dates or review triggers prompt checks and corrections. |
| 5 | The team uses recurring discrepancies to improve how updates reach all relevant sources and checks whether those improvements reduce gaps. |
Start at 3 and check whether the important requirement is implemented and repeatable. Use the lower score if a material part of the higher level is missing. Use U for checks still outstanding and N/A only where the requirement does not apply.
Record your result
In the assessment workbook, open Readiness → Freshness and consistency. For each question, retain the page or report, date checked, finding and next improvement. The workbook calculates the component average and shows evidence coverage.
Highlight questions scored 1 or 2 even when the average is higher. Give outstanding checks an owner. Return to the information foundations overview to continue the other components.
