This component asks whether connected and actionable information supports an accurate, useful account of the business. Complete it for the offerings, locations and customer situations in your assessment scope.
What to gather
Define the customer need for current availability, prices, capacity or a supported action. Identify the feed, interface or provider responsible for it.
Carry out the review
If a capability is required, inspect its coverage, freshness, reliability, permissions and failure handling with the provider. Score the needed information or action. Use N/A for protocols and features that are not required.

- AC4 — Are booking, purchasing or enquiry capabilities structured for reliable interaction?
- AC5 — Are suitable APIs or structured feeds available and maintained?
- AC6 — Where MCP or another tool interface is used, is access controlled and aligned with a defined customer need?
- AC7 — Where UCP or another transaction mechanism is used, are the supported actions and limits clear?

Choose your scores
Use a whole-number score for each question and record supporting evidence. The examples below show how the levels apply to this component.
| Score | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| 1 | A required information feed or customer action is unavailable or does not work. |
| 2 | A limited implementation works for some offerings or situations, with manual updates or unreliable coverage. |
| 3 | The required information or action works across the agreed scope, with a repeatable operating process and defined access and failure handling. |
| 4 | A named owner reviews reliability, freshness and failed interactions and follows up problems. |
| 5 | Evidence from repeated interactions improves the information or action and its operating process, with the changes checked afterwards. |
Start at 3 and check whether the important requirement is implemented and repeatable. Use the lower score if a material part of the higher level is missing. Use U for checks still outstanding and N/A only where the requirement does not apply.
Record your result
In the assessment workbook, open Readiness → Connected and actionable information. For each question, retain the page or report, date checked, finding and next improvement. The workbook calculates the component average and shows evidence coverage.
Highlight questions scored 1 or 2 even when the average is higher. Give outstanding checks an owner. Return to the information foundations overview to continue the other components.
