Before judging an AI answer, establish what an accurate answer would say. Your business profile is the reference for the rest of the assessment. It brings together your offer, audience, location and evidence for why a customer should consider you.
Gather the facts
Use current product or experience information, customer requirements and evidence supporting your claims. Include limitations as well as strengths. An accurate recommendation should reflect who the offering suits.
| Record | Example for a tourism operator |
|---|---|
| Offer | A two-hour guided kayaking experience. |
| Audience and need | Families seeking an outdoor activity suitable for children aged eight and over. |
| Location | Rotorua, with the departure point clearly stated. |
| Practical details | Price, duration, operating season and what visitors need to bring. |
| Reasons to choose you | Specific features and supported customer benefits. |
| Restrictions | Minimum age, physical requirements and weather conditions. |
Describe the customer decisions
Write realistic situations where the business should be considered. For example: “We are visiting Rotorua with a nine-year-old and want a two-hour outdoor activity.” Include different needs or audiences when they genuinely matter to your business.
Record the alternatives a customer might choose. This helps you examine whether AI places the business in the right category and explains the differences that matter.
Complete this part of the workbook
In the workbook, complete Scope and Business profile. Include links to the information that supports your description. Keep this profile for comparison when you run the observation prompts; the purpose of those prompts is to find out what AI can establish independently.
Then open Management → Contextualise and score the nine questions. Informal knowledge held by the owner may score 2. A documented profile used consistently to shape assessments supports 3. An operating review process supports 4; repeated learning used to improve the profile supports 5.
Your result
You should now have a short account of what the business does, who it serves, where it operates and why it fits the chosen customer needs. You also have a Contextualise maturity score showing how reliably your organisation maintains that reference.
